Our Commitment

The cornerstone of Hedgehog’s mission is to keep discussion productive, civil, and most importantly — safe. Our team, the community and AI work together to flag and remove any unsafe content, giving you peace of mind as you scroll and comment.

Automated Protection

AI filters process images, videos, and text posted on Hedgehog — anything that violates the Hedgehog Terms of Service can be rejected. If there is something we’re on the fence about, real-life, human moderators will review it. These automated controls mainly focus on the worst of the worst, including pornography, threats of physical violence, and illegal activity.

Admin Review

Sometimes the robots just don’t cut it. When that happens, our team reviews content suspected of breaking the rules.

Community Moderation

People can flag posts and comments, for Terms of Service violations or simply because they don’t want to see it on Hedgehog. If someone thinks there’s a post that shouldn’t be there, they can cast a vote to keep or remove it. They can even remove accounts from the chatroom or the platform itself. Community moderation is an essential feature of our platform — respectful use by our trusted members is key to our success.

Manners Matter

To keep things polite and respectful, skip posting things like:

  • Spam or self-promotional links
  • Bullying language
  • Private information about someone else
  • Intentionally misleading information (like posting the wrong day to vote)
