When you find someone on Hedgehog whose posts interest you, you have two options: you can follow them, and you can subscribe to them.
The difference really comes down to how urgently you want to see their posts.
Follow (body with “+ symbol” icon)
When you follow someone, you always get their new posts in your Feed. Pretty simple, really.
If you see a post from someone you’d like to follow, you can do it one of three ways:
* On desktop, hover over their name with your mouse, and in the modal window that pops up, click the follow icon (the head and body with the +)
* On mobile web and the Hedgehog app, tap and hold on their name, and in the popup, tap the follow icon.
* On any platform, click or tap on the person’s name to visit their Profile page, and on that page hit the follow icon.
Subscribe (bell icon)
When you subscribe to someone, you’ve taken one extra step – you will receive a push notification every time they post.
If you see a post from someone in your Feed to whom you’d like to subscribe, you can do it one of three ways:
* On desktop, hover over their name with your mouse, and in the modal window that pops up, click the subscribe icon (looks like a bell)
* On mobile web and the Hedgehog app, tap and hold on their name, and in the popup, tap the subscribe icon.
* On any platform, click or tap on the person’s name to visit their Profile page, and on that page hit the subscribe icon.
