A Headline summarizes a story and links out to the full article. Headlines can be a quick article summary, a question, a prompt for conversation, the original article title—whatever the Contributor wants.
There are two kinds of Headlines – the ones you can create yourself in the Feed as a Contributor, and the ones the Hedgehog Editors create for the Channels page. (They look and work the same, the only difference is who creates them and where they live after they’re created.)
On the Channels page, only trusted sources approved by the Editors can be used for Headlines, so you know you’re going to a vetted news source. Our Headlines focus on the topic of the article instead of the source to avoid click bias.
